You may have noticed a bit of a change of pace this year, Impossimals normally make their appearance around February but this year they have still to make an appearance. It’s something they have done like clockwork every year since 2005 so what better way after whizzing through the Impossimal ten year mark in 2015 than to shake things up a bit and add a bit more excitement to a typical Impossimal year.
Moving studios in August prompted a complete overhaul of how we work, Lost Alice was the last collection to be produced at our old location ending eighteen years on a high, the studio remained in turmoil for three months but we managed to create four new Impossimal painting during this transition period and it’s those four you will see shortly paving the way for what we hope is a vintage Impossimal year.
But what else have we been up to?
Well, The Seven Sins Of Alice is in production along with further movement on the Lost Alice Book, a mammoth task that has even took us by surprise at it’s complexity and scope. Secondly the follow up to Bloodlines – Revelation has also began with vast sets and strange creations taking shape, we have even invested in some of the latest technology so we can place a camera in a scene and walk down it in real time as though we were actually there, even more excitingly though is the collection may get a serious boost from an unlikely childhood hero but more of that later and finally a brand new Impossimal collection is nearing completion.
Those who have joined us on social media will keep seeing snippets as we create and prepare, already we have lots of oil sketches, pencil sketches and originals starting to take shape with some new characters and creations to enlarge the Impossimal world and boy are you in for a treat!
In the next few weeks the opening salvo will start with the release of ‘Wine Club’ and ‘You Are Fab!’ along with a brand new family edition and a scrummy donut laden cavalcade of yummyness in ‘Donut Worry, Be Happy’ to start the year with a smile.
Don’t forget we have also launched ‘Pure Impossimals’, ‘World Of Impossimals’ and ‘Lost Alice’ stores on Zazzle (which you can find HERE) for some unique collectables that change on a weekly basis and finally…
We have a new card range being designed as we speak, full details of everything above and lots more can be found on our website (HERE) and social media so don’t forget to join us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google+ and loads of other cyberspace type places for a memorable and smileable Impossimal 2016!
